Navneet Singh Deora is a food engineer with a PhD from Agricultural & Food Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India, Master’s in Food Technology from CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore, India and Bachelor of Engineering in Food Processing Technology from AD Patel Institute of Technology (ADIT), Gujarat. In the past, he was involved with RPSG Goneka Group (Extrusion Expert, 2019), Jubilant Food Works (Open Innovation, 2018), and Nestle R&D (Cereal Specialist, 2017). His research interests focus on open innovation in the food industry, sustainability, plant based proteins, equipment design and advancements in cereal science. He is an author or co-author of multiple research papers, books and patents.

NN Misra is a food process engineer by training with a PhD from Technological University Dublin, Ireland. He has contributed to research in many organizations including, Dalhousie University, Canada (Postdoctoral Fellow, 2019), Iowa State University, USA (Postdoctoral Associate, 2018), and General Mills, Mumbai, India (Senior Scientist, 2015-2017). Additionally, he is an advisor to several industries in India, Canada and USA. He is an author/co-author of >100 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and edited books focused on innovative food processing. His research interests circumscribe the broad areas of process engineering, cold plasma, computational modelling, and open innovation in the food industry.

Yash Dixit is a scientist with AgResearch Ltd, New Zealand under Food and Bio-based products division. Yash is a food engineer by training and has a PhD from Technological University Dublin, Ireland. Formerly, he was employed with AgResearch Ltd, New Zealand (Postdoctoral Fellow, 2018-20) and General Mills (Quality Coordinator, 2010-12). As a scientific advisor, he is an active contributor to various industrial projects within New Zealand. His expertise fall in the areas of diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, computer vision, chemometrics and data science - all with a focus on food quality and safety applications.
